One of the first (and most exciting) decisions you’ll make is where you’re going to marry the love of your life.
The Clarence Valley truly is something special - beaches, riverbanks, headlands, parks. There are so many beautiful public spaces to choose from.
If you’re planning to marry in a public reserve or foreshore area, many of these locations need to be officially booked through Clarence Valley Bookable, which is the council’s online booking system.
You can explore and secure local ceremony spots here:
It’s a helpful place to see what’s available and make sure your chosen space is reserved just for you.
My advice? Book early — especially during peak wedding season (spring and autumn fill quickly).
And because we live on the coast… always have a Plan B. Weather can turn, wind can pick up, and having a backup option means you can stay relaxed and present on the day.
If you're having an outdoor wedding, a lovely wet-weather alternative is the chapel at Storey House Museum Chapel - intimate, charming and sheltered.
At the end of the day, choose somewhere that feels right. Somewhere you can picture yourselves standing together, breathing it all in, thinking…
Yes. This is exactly where we’re meant to be.
